Taj Mahal Garden

Taj mahal beautiful wonder of the world located at Agra, was recently voted as the top wonder of the world. This wonder is beautiful due to its fine Persian architectural work. Garden near this historical monument adds charm to its beauty. Taj mahal garden is green and consists on ornamental plants of different varieties. Besides these plants one can find flowers and fruit trees of various types.

The garden is known as charbagh garden symbolizing the four flowing Rivers of Paradise where one is made of water, other of milk, the third of wine, and fourth of honey. Two marble canals studded with fountains divide this garden into four sections. Each flowerbed in this garden consists of exactly four hundred plants and thus gives us an idea about the elaborate symmetry involved in designing the Taj mahal.

Ali Mardan, the engineer who designed the Shalimar, designed taj garden. The Taj Mahal of Agra is considered as the jewel of Mughal architecture and the garden has a lot of significance in Islamic architecture.
